Good tourist attraction in Incheon
<Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village>
A beautiful fairy tale village close to the China town.
Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village is next to China town. So it's good to visit after looking around China town.
This village is real village residents live in. So you can meet people living there.
If you are planning to visit Incheon for Wolmido or China town, you shouldn't miss this village!
This is the post that Jay translated another Korean blogger's post.
Thanks for your cooperation!!
A few days ago, I heard that the fairy tale village had been built in Incheon.
I visited there on a hot sunny day~!!
<Tourist attraction / Good place to take a picture / Good for a family picnic>
"Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village"
Address: 인천 중구 송월동 3가 11-92
We ate cold noodle named '냉면' in Hwapyeong-dong and went to the fairy tale village via Chinatown.
We parked a car and walked into the street where the Chinese paintings are painted!!
You can park your car at the Jemulpo high school. (If you follow the red arrow, you can get the Jemulpo high school.)
Don't drive your car into the China town street~ It's so crowded on weekend. You might not get out of there.
Get into the sign for China town (the pink park above in the photo) and go up a little bit, and you can find the sign written "송월동 동화마을 (meaning Songwol-dong fairy town village)"
This is the entrance.
It was crowded because it was holiday.
There is a map on the wall.
Just walk around and take photos.
They didn't destroy any houses or built new ones.
This village is decorated by painting the houses, installing window frames...
It was a three-dimensional compared to other fairy tale villages.
They also built awnings like this.
Can you see this?
The pipes for the gas changed into the tin robot in the Wizard of Oz. :D
There was also a fox lamp looking down at Red Riding Hood on the wall.
The genie of the magic lamp.
The cookie house in Hansel and Gretel!!
This is the real resident house people live in. @.@
This house was very popular among kids and also adults.
Lion and giraffe
The rabbit and his clock in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
A cute Bambi in the flower garden.
The rainbow stairs.
A girl riding on a goose.
I don't remember what fairy tale this is..
This is a parking building for a church.
It shows Noah's Ark.
A dog protecting a house.
The yellow sign says "Be careful the dog" lol
a cute Bambi and her friends
Small fish make a big whale.
You can watch a play in front of the Fairy Tale Village Center.
Young students were playing for kids.
It was so thankful. Kids really loved them. ^^
I saw some places were under construction.
I think this village is getting bigger.
It was a just small quiet village but resident worked together and made their village a wonderful tourist attraction.
I recommend this route.
<Sinpo traditional market - Songwol-dong fairy tale village - China town - Freedom park - Wolmido>
They are all close one another and you can get there easily by public transportation.
It take a half or a full day to look around.
There are lots of places to take pictures and street foods and Kids love there.
Why don't you visit Incheon this weekend?
Jay's Opinion
"When you visit China town or Wolmido!"
Ratings: ★★★
This village is not that huge. So I don't recommend you to visit only for this village.
But if you are planning to visit Incheon for China town or Wolmido,
then never miss this place.
I think it takes about less than 1 hour to look around and take photos.
Jay's Recommended route
