Good place to drink in Guwol-dong, Incheon
- "Kyodong -Jeonbang (교동전방)"
Korean traditional rice wine "Makgeolli (막걸리)" & "Buchimgea (부침개)"
Have you ever heard of "Makgeolli"? It's a traditional Korean wine made of rice. It's a little sweet and it contains about 5% of alcohol, but it's a quite strong. And if you get drunk after drinking it, you might undergo a bad headache!
Interesting thing about Makgeolli is that when it rains, Koreans think of Makgeolli. So when it rains, bars selling Makgeolli are crowded with so many people. (It's like a traditional thing.)
You can drink it almost every bar in Korea, but Koreans usually drink Makgeolli with Korean traditional food "Jeon(전)" and "Buchimgea(부침개)" which are like Korean pizza. (very delicious!) I think drinking Makgeolli with Jeon and Buchimgea is going to be very impressive experience!
This is the post that Jay translated another Korean blogger's post.

Good bar in Guwol-dong, Incheon
[ Kyodong-Jeonbang ]
I'm working as one of Incheon Asian game supporters and my team visited a good bar in Incheon.
Today, I want to introduce that place!
The name of this bar represents the main dish, Jeon!
It's "Kyodong-Jeonbang" :-)
You can enjoy various Makgeolli.
Actually we drank two kinds of that!
It was the Makgeolli that I could buy at any store, though... ^ㅠ^
Jay's tip
"I think it's almost impossible to tell the difference of tastes of Makgeollis as a foreigner. Every Makgeolli is delicious and almost the same, so don't worry and choose whatever you want!"
You can see Cherry trees inside the bar~
I could feel the scenery of Spring! It's beautiful, isn't it?
Would they change this tree when Autumn comes? I want to check it in the Autumn!
There were many dishes and set menus!
We chose No.3 set menu. (Various Jeon + U.S Army soup)
The famous Makgeolli, Kooksoondang rice Makgeolli and side dishes!
Radish and the soy bean sauce with onions.
These are very common side dishes in Korea.
Jay's tip
"Dip the Jeon into the soy bean sauce. But be careful!! It's very salty."
"like this!"
I filled Makgeolli into a beautiful cup!
We drank it before Jeon comes!
I was good because the interior of this bar was beautiful.
This is the various Jeon (Modeumjeon)!
These are made of pumpkin, tofu, mushroom, sesame, red pepper, etc!
The shape pf this plate is like a Korean traditional agricultural tool, Ki.
The round ones called 'Dongurangtang' was especially good!
Close shot!
Eating Jeon could be oily, so this soup goes well with Jeon!
It contains a lot of mushrooms and leeks!
It was really delicious but I thought if there had been more hams, it would have been more delicious.
It was a great combination with Jeon! I felt like I was in heaven~
And then we ordered 'bindaetteok(Mung Bean Pancake)'!
This photo looks like it's not delicious but this one was also really delicious.
It was a little salty, so I didn't need to dip in soy bean sauce.
The bar said this food is the best dish there!
The last photo is the cherry tree again! It was so beautiful ♥ :-)
It was also good as the waiters were kind.
When I said it's a little hot there, they opened the windows and although I pushed the bell a lot, they served kindly!
I'm planning to go and check whether that cherry tree is still there when the Autumn comes~
