Incheon Asian Game Main Stadium

(Incheon Asiad Main Stadium)

The huge main stadium for the 2014 Asian game

Incheon Asiad Main Stadium is a planned multi-use stadium, located in Incheon, South Korea. Once completed in July 2014, it will be used mostly for athletics meets and will be the main host of the 2014 Asian Games. The stadium has been designed with an initial capacity of between 60,000 spectators. After the 2014 Asian Games, capacity will be reduced to 30,000 spectators.

The main stadium will be used for the Opening and Closing Ceremony and Athletics competition of 2014 Asian Games. Utilizing the long linear landscape from South to North to actively connect to surrounding parks, and the naturally continuity of the rooftops to facilitate the approach by spectators, in order to overcome the difficulty of approaching the long site while emphasizing the potential of the area. It attempts to depict the movements of people with the lines and soft curvatures of dancing in order to link with Seungmu (Buddhist dance), and to express dynamic movement with the tide and wind, which represent the sea of Incheon.

Address인천광역시 서구 연희동 378

Let's look around how big it is :)

The huge, white stadium looks beautiful and clean.

It's different from other stadiums in Korea :)

It's really huge

I think it would be really tough to run round this stadium. lol

Isn't it awesome? Look at the colors and its design.

I was proud that Korea has this awesome stadium. :)

When I saw closer, I was surprised to see so many seats.

I've never seen anything like this other than baseball stadium.

So I can't demonstrate this kind of thing but it's like a baseball stadium. ^^;;;;

Up to the sky~!

They already prepared the sign for the safety.

I think they should prepare well for any safety issues.

The outside of the stadium was still under construction.

The water was not clean.

What a great sculpture it is!

I may have some good meanings

but I don't know anything about art.

It's just one sculpture for me. lol

It was a sunny day.

I hope it to be well prepared and to be the great event ever ;)
